VSM just introduced the latest generation of abrasives, ACTIROX. Using geometrically shaped ceramic grains ensures maximum stock removal, more than twice as much as compared to conventional ceramic grain abrasives. This leads to a reduction in operating costs and increasing production thanks to faster cutting.

The ACTIROX AK890Y was developed for top performance with superalloys, stainless steel, unalloyed steel, aluminum and non-ferrous metals and used on a variety of machines and grinding processes such as wide belt grinding, robotic grinding, flat grinding, backstand, centerless, planetary grinding. Thanks to its fast-processing speed, AK890Y offers impressive results when deburring sheets or removing sprues. An aggressive cut combined with low contact pressure, results in the generation of less noise and vibration, and less strain for the machine and its operators. The additional grinding-active Top Size layer also reduces the temperature in the contact area. This product is suitable for dry and wet grinding and for low to medium contact pressure.  Available in belts and rolls. 36grit only.

The ACTIROX AK890 generates maximum stock removal when machining superalloys and stainless steel. A fast cut and extremely long service life lead to an increase in productivity.  More workpieces per unit of time due to fast cutting. The additional grinding-active Top Sizer reduces the temperature in the contact area.  The ACTIROX AK890 is suitable for aluminum, unalloyed steel and non-ferrous metals. Used on angle grinders for medium to high contact pressures.  Used with the extremely hard back-up pad VSM TURBO PAD 3 leads to a further increase in stock removal. Available in 36grit.

The ACTIROX AF799 the geometrically shaped ceramic grain generates maximum stock removal when machining unalloyed steels and aluminum. A fast cut and extremely long service life lead to a significant increase in productivity. More than twice as much stock removal compared to conventional ceramic grain abrasives. Clogging of the fibre disc is reduced particularly when grinding aluminum.   The ACTIROX AF799 is also suitable for stainless steel and non-ferrous metals. Available in 36grit.
